Global market research firm YouGov has published its latest annual ranking of the world’s 10 most admired leaders, highlighting individuals who inspire respect and influence across politics, business, humanitarian work, and culture.
The survey, which polled millions of people across multiple countries, reflects global perceptions of leadership qualities such as integrity, vision, and impact.
Figures on the list include heads of state, renowned entrepreneurs, and humanitarian icons, underscoring a mix of political authority and social influence in shaping admiration worldwide.
YouGov analysts noted that while political leaders continue to dominate the ranking, business innovators and global philanthropists are increasingly admired, reflecting shifting values among younger demographics.
“The admiration index shows how global citizens are looking not only to political figures but also to changemakers who create real impact in society,” the report stated.
The 2025 ranking also reveals regional variations, with different leaders commanding higher respect in Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, showing how cultural and political contexts shape admiration.
