Forbes Africa has released its highly anticipated 2025 “30 Under 30” list, celebrating a new generation of young innovators, entrepreneurs, and change-makers who are redefining the African narrative across business, technology, music, sports, and social impact.

Now in its 11th edition, the annual ranking spotlights 30 of Africa’s brightest and boldest under the age of 30, whose work is transforming industries and communities both locally and globally. The honorees represent 15 African countries and were selected from thousands of nominations following a rigorous vetting process by the Forbes Africa editorial team and an independent panel of judges.

Among the notable Nigerians who made the 2025 list are Tems (musician and Grammy winner), Divine Igbinedion (tech entrepreneur and founder of CodeRite Africa), and Maryam Abubakar, a 28-year-old agritech innovator revolutionizing sustainable farming in northern Nigeria. Other honorees include Ethiopia’s Abel Tesfaye, co-founder of the logistics startup GoQuick Africa, and South Africa’s Keabetswe Mokoena, a climate-tech advocate recognized for her renewable energy solutions.

Speaking on this year’s theme, “Sustainability and Scale,” Forbes Africa’s Managing Editor, Renuka Methil, said the 2025 list celebrates resilience, creativity, and purpose-driven leadership among Africa’s youth.

“These are individuals who not only dream big but execute with impact. They are building the Africa of tomorrow in business, science, art, and innovation,” Methil said.

This year’s edition places a strong emphasis on innovation for social good, spotlighting young Africans who are tackling issues like unemployment, education, healthcare, and climate change through scalable solutions.

Past Nigerian honorees including Burna Boy, Rema, Flutterwave’s Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, and chef Hilda Baci have gone on to achieve global acclaim, underscoring the prestige and influence of the Forbes Africa platform.

As excitement builds across the continent, the 2025 “30 Under 30” class stands as a reflection of Africa’s boundless potential a reminder that despite challenges, the continent continues to produce some of the world’s most dynamic and visionary young leaders.
