Empowering Children Through Play: Upbeat Centre’s Fun Day Success

Upbeat Centre, Nigeria’s foremost trampoline and recreation park, recently hosted a remarkable Children’s Fun Day, partnering with the One African Child Foundation to bring together children from underserved communities. The event, part of Upbeat’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, combined fun, physical activities, and valuable life lessons in a memorable experience for the young attendees.

Far beyond just a day of play, the event was designed to teach important life skills inspired by The Hoppa, Upbeat’s upcoming comic series. Focusing on teamwork, health, fitness, and self-confidence, The Hoppa formed the foundation for the day’s structured activities, offering the children a balanced blend of recreation and education.

Operations Manager, Babatunde Akingbola, emphasized the impact of the initiative, saying, “Hosting the Children’s Fun Day was a rewarding experience for everyone involved. It wasn’t just about providing entertainment, but about instilling key values inspired by The Hoppa curriculum. Collaborating with the One African Child Foundation allowed us to make a tangible difference in these children’s lives, and we are proud of the positive outcomes.”

Children participated in trampoline sessions, relay races, and wall climbing, designed to enhance physical fitness, teamwork, and perseverance. These activities mirrored The Hoppa’s core focus on health, resilience, and active living, helping the kids develop essential skills while having fun.

Additionally, interactive workshops were conducted to address critical topics such as screen addiction, balanced nutrition, and regular exercise. Drawing from The Hoppa’s Wellbeing & Safety and Food & Nutrition themes, the workshops provided practical advice on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, which the children could apply in their daily routines.

Upbeat Centre’s broader mission to promote health and wellness, particularly among children from disadvantaged backgrounds, aligns with the aims of this event. By hosting such initiatives, Upbeat Centre strengthens its commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 3, which focuses on ensuring healthy lives and well-being for all ages.

As West Africa’s leading trampoline and recreation facility, Upbeat Centre remains dedicated to fostering active lifestyles and creating enriching experiences for families, schools, and communities. Its emphasis on safety, inclusivity, and social responsibility continues to drive its mission forward.

For the children who participated, the Fun Day offered much more than just excitement—it provided valuable lessons in teamwork, fitness, and personal growth that will last long beyond the event.
