African businesses often experience limited longevity, primarily due to their dependence on their founders. When these founders die, it puts both the business and the creative ideas that supported its development at risk. This challenge is further intensified by a lack of shared knowledge and proper record-keeping, which restricts the learning opportunities for emerging entrepreneurs. To address this, GlobalMentorBridge is hosting the “Beyond Ideas” summit in Lagos on August 3, 2024, at the Landmark Centre. This event will bring together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and startups for a day of knowledge exchange, networking, and mentorship. Keynote speakers include Ifeoma Malo, Don Ebubeogu, and Abimbola Adebakin, among others. The summit aims to bridge generational and sectoral gaps through effective mentoring and purposeful networking and has received support from various Nigerian businesses and international partners, including Al-Hussein Technical University in Jordan.
